have i told you lately how much my 'family' drives me insane?

i just said i was working the night my mom wants everyone to go out for supper ("but i can't pay for everyone, do you still want to come?") for my little bro's barfday, she asked if i could switch shifts, i said no. and don't get me wrong, i'd ~like~ to go for dinner, but i don't think it's entirely appropriate this early in the game to be switching shifts because of a birthday party (i just started there less than three months ago).

wait for it. wait for it....
oh! there it is!

she then gets all sullen and defeated and says 'i have to go now. bye."

and that's that.

why don't i want to spend time with them? hmmmm...
