i don't do things for people to get anything in return.
typically, i don't expect much from people
- not because of anything negative, i just don't ~know~ what to expect from every person I encounter, so I best just let things develop.
and, typically, i'm not disappointed.
but when kindness gets regarded as some sort of privilege, i do get a bit let down.
when the 'little things' don't seem to add up to much. and it IS the little things that are typically remarkable.
